The Loose Moose

Post-exams gluttony.

Ryerson University examinations usually take place at the Metro Convention Centre. If you find yourself starved after an exam and in need of some sustenance, be sure to check out The Loose Moose!

The Loose Moose is a short 4 minute walk from Union Station. Vi and I ordered 3 shareable plates so that we could try a little bit of everything. We also ordered Hibiscus Green Tea Refreshers (alcoholic, of course).
Infamous Garlic Fries: Garlic, fresh parmesan, parsley and semi-dried tomato pesto.
These were the best garlic fries I've ever had! The tomato-pesto added a sweet element to the garlic-y, cheesy goodness. The fries stayed crisp from the beginning to end.

Who Are You Callin' Shrimp Lettuce Wraps: Crispy jumbo shrimp tossed in purple cabbage and diced taro, married in an Asian inspired sauce. I love anything wrapped, but there wasn't anything amazing about this dish. It was okay.

Honey, Who Shrunk My Woody: Woody Burger Sliders. BBQ brushed patties, caramelized onions and American cheese sandwhiched between bacon foccacia. These sliders were juicy and flavourful. The combination of every ingredient was delicious and savoury.

The Loose Moose is a very rustic tapas bar, with wooden tables, exposed pipes, vintage signs and a garage window that opens up in the summer. They also have the largest selection of draught beer in downtown Toronto.
Mirrors in the Women's washroom. A cute and vintage aesthetic!

The prices are very reasonable, the food tastes great and the drinks are refreshing. You will definitely find me here during exams.

Lyana

I can be found wandering around the GTA.

Food is a universal language that brings people together and is fuel for the body and soul. Food, to me, is comforting, exciting and my favourite part of every day.

If you can't decide where or what you would like to eat, I hope that my blog will give you some ideas and make you salivate!
