Lamesa

This weekend, the girls and I headed downtown for brunch.
We went to Lamesa, a modern Filipino restaurant. Filipino food is always so comforting to me.

I ordered the Malaking Almusal...*drool*
Nothing really Filipino about this dish except for the longanisa, which was cooked to perfection! The potatoes were very memorable.

The interior was really cute! You can opt to sit near the front by the windows, by the breakfast bar or in the back where the cozy booths are.

Brunch is only served on the weekends and they have a wide selection of bomb non-traditional Filipino dishes for dinner. On Sundays, they have a hand-to-mouth, or Kamayan, dinner tradition. This basically means no plates or cutlery! Everything is served on banana leaves and it's a unique Filipino experience to use all your senses.

I enjoyed brunch here and had a great conversation with the girls. I would definitely like to come back to try some of their other dishes and drinks!

xox,
Ly

About

I can be found wandering around the GTA.

Food is a universal language that brings people together and is fuel for the body and soul. Food, to me, is comforting, exciting and my favourite part of every day.

If you can't decide where or what you would like to eat, I hope that my blog will give you some ideas and make you salivate!
